Women In Leadership Organization
(WILO)
Welcome to the Women in Leadership Organization (WILO)! We are a global hub dedicated to advancing women’s leadership, scholarship, and impact. WILO is comprised of three interconnected arms that drive its mission forward: innovative research, an annual international conference (WILC) that convenes leaders and scholars from around the world, and strategic partnerships. Through collaborations with other 501(c)(3) nonprofits and supporting communities of practice, such as the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction and the Commission on the Status of Women—WILO strengthens collective action and shared learning. Together, these efforts foster a dynamic network that empowers women leaders, amplifies knowledge, and supports meaningful change across sectors and communities.Start by reading more about our research, our annual international conference (WILC), and our partnerships that advance women’s leadership worldwide. RESEARCH
The WILO conducts research on advancing gender equity in leadership by analyzing barriers, career pathways, and strategies that support women’s professional growth. Their work often focuses on leadership development, workplace inclusion, mentorship, and data-driven insights that help organizations build more diverse and effective leadership pipelines. This research informs evidence-based programs, policy recommendations, and practical resources that equip leaders and institutions to create lasting, equitable change.
WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE (WILC)
The Women In Leadership Conference (WILC) brings together professionals, executives, and emerging leaders to share insights, build skills, and foster meaningful connections that support women’s advancement. The conference offers keynote sessions, panels, and workshops focused on leadership development, career growth, innovation, and inclusive workplace practices. Participants leave with actionable strategies, expanded networks, and renewed inspiration to lead with confidence and impact.
PARTNERSHIPS
WILO builds partnerships with other 501(c)(3) nonprofits to expand impact, share resources, and strengthen collaborative initiatives that advance leadership and community development. It also supports Communities of Practice such as the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction and the Commission on the Status of Women to promote knowledge exchange, advocacy, and collective action around equity and leadership. These partnerships create a strong global network that amplifies innovation and drives progress in advancing women’s leadership.
“Women leaders both inspire and teach us while they innovate new directions as difference-makers in the world.”
